Biography
Barbara Ruskin, Ph.D., J.D., joined Bionor in April 2015. Dr. Ruskin has acted for over two decades advising diverse clients in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. She has broad expertise in worldwide patent portfolio management, litigation strategies, corporate transactions and due diligence on behalf of companies and investors. Since May 2012, Dr. Ruskin has been President of BA Ruskin Law consulting firm. Prior to that, from January 2005 she was a partner in the Corporate Group of the law firm Ropes & Gray and trained at the law firm of Fish & Neave as a patent agent and associate after leaving academic science in 1993. She holds a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law (New York, NY), a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Harvard University (Cambridge, MA) and a B.A. in Biochemistry from the University of California, Berkeley (Berkeley, CA). She is admitted to practice law in New York State and is a registered US patent attorney.
