Biography

Dr. Robert S. Negrin, M.D. serves as Immune Modulation Program Advisor of Caladrius Biosciences, Inc. Dr. Negrin serves as Chief of Division of Blood and Marrow Transplantation at Stanford University and also serves as its Director of Blood and Marrow Transplant Program with 30+ years in NKT(CIK) immunotherapy. He is a Professor of Medicine at Stanford University and was an Associate Professor of Medicine. He serves as Medical Director of the Clinical Bone Marrow Transplant Laboratory and also has a research laboratory focusing on detection of minimal disease and the application of immune-based therapies. He serves as President of International Society for Cellular Therapy. Dr. Negrin served as the President of the American Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation. He serves as a Member of Advisory Board at Aldagen, Inc. Dr. Negrin serves as Member of Scientific Advisory Board at Mountain View Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Dr. Negrin has been a Member of Scientific Advisory Board at Cell Source, Inc. since June 2015 and Formula Pharmaceuticals, Inc. since August 13, 2015. He has been Member of Scientific Advisory Board at Heat Biologics, Inc. and Pelican Therapeutics, Inc. since October 23, 2017. He serves as a Member of Advisory Board at Cellect Biotechnology Ltd. and Cytonome, Inc. He serves as a Member of Scientific Board at Adheren, Inc. and Magenta Therapeutics, Inc. Dr. Negrin served as Member of Scientific Advisory Board at REGiMMUNE Corporation. His research work has focused on cellular immunology in particular developing a more fundamental understanding of complex biological reactions such as graft versus host and graft vs tumor reactions in animal models and in the clinic and evaluating the clinical utility of expanded cytotoxic cells for immunotherapy. His research focuses on evaluating the clinical utility of expanded cytotoxic cells for immunotherapy. He has authored over 225 original papers, 40 book chapters and a book. He has received a number of awards including a fellowship from the Jose Carreras Foundation, he is a recipient of the Doris Duke Distinguished Clinical Scientist Award and is a member of the Association of American Physicians. He was previously the President of the International Society of Cellular Therapy and the American Society of Blood and Marrow Transplantation. He served as an Associate Editor of the journal Blood and is the founding editor of Blood Advances. He completed his training in internal medicine and hematology at Stanford University and joined the faculty in 1990. Dr. Negrin received his undergraduate degree from the University of California at Berkeley and MD from Harvard University.
