Biography
Dr. Morten Goodwin was introduced to machine learning and artificial intelligence by Ole-Christoffer Granmo in his master study, and has since been bitten by the bug. Morten Goodwin received his master's degree from the University of Agder, Norway, in 2005, and the PhD degree in 2011 from the Department of Computer Science at Aalborg University, Denmark, where he applied machine learning algorithms on eGovernment indicators which are difficult to measure automatically. He is now an associate professor at the University of Agder. His research interests include data-mining, optimization, machine learning, swarm intelligence, deep learning, and adaptive learning. He has written more than 40 peer reviewed scientific publications in the area, and has supervised more than 60 student projects at the master's and PhD level.
