James L. Picker – Professor of RadiologyWelcome to the Department of Radiation Oncology at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons a member of the Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center an NCI designated facility. In our department, our mission is to provide the highest-quality patient centered care utilizing “state of the art” technology and treatment modalities. We are committed to enhancing cancer care thorough training of our residents, and advancing our research initiatives. In our department, our patients have the advantage of a multidisciplinary team-approach.

Research Interest

Our physicians have a tremendous amount of expertise in the field of radiation oncology and we work with our colleagues from other specialties in our facility to ensure every patient gets the best care and treatment available immediately. We offer the numerous clinical trials that give our patients access to treatments that are not yet available to the public.
