Biography
Dr. Anusha Kalbasi is a radiation oncologist and translational scientist in the UCLA Department of Radiation Oncology and Division of Cellular and Molecular Oncology. As part of the Ribas Lab in the Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy, his research is focused on immunotherapeutic strategies for the treatment of solid malignancies. He had broad clinical expertise, and has published on pancreatic, lung, prostate, melanoma, and hepatobiliary cancer. In the clinic, he will primarily specialize in patients with sarcoma and melanoma.
Research Interest
Dr. Kalbasi earned his medical degree at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. During medical school, he completed an HHMI-NIH research fellowship at the National Cancer Institute, where he worked on genetically engineering T cells for the treatment of solid tumors. Dr. Kalbasi completed his residency in radiation oncology at the University of Pennsylvania, where he completed a research fellowship in pancreatic cancer
