Biography
Mr Bårdsen has served as Chief Strategy Officer since January 2017 and as President of DeepOcean in Norway since 2009. Since joining the company in 2002, he has been involved with developing the company by holding various positions after being the first engineering manager of DeepOcean. These positions include Chief Operating Officer, Group Strategic Advisor on Operations and Strategic Planning and Director of Technology and International Business. Having gained more than 20 years of experience from subsea project management, technology development, and subsea operations, Mr. Bårdsen has also served as senior project engineer for Stolt Offshore, now Subsea7, specialising in design, engineering and operation of pipeline repair systems. He holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from NTNU, Norway, and professional degrees in finance and management from NTNU/NHH in Norway and National University in Singapore.
