Biography
Mr. Brooks is senior vice president, Refining of Marathon Petroleum Corporation. He is past chairman of the American Petroleum Institute operating practices committee and the Texas City-La Marque Chamber of Commerce.
Research Interest
Mr. Brooks joined Marathon in 1979 as a chemical engineering co-op. In 1983, he started a progression of technical and management positions at Garyville, Robinson, Texas City, Catlettsburg, St. Paul Park (no longer owned by MPC), and Galveston Bay refineries. He was named the general manager for the St. Paul Park refinery in 2006, Robinson refinery in 2010 and Galveston Bay refinery in 2013. He assumed his current position in 2016.
