Biography
Based in Hong Kong, Young-Ah Kim is a Principal in Investor Engagement – APAC. She is responsible for business development, stakeholder engagement and investor relations in Korea. Ms. Kim has over 15 years of financial industry experience. Prior to joining Abraaj, she was Vice President at Adveq Management for four years where she was responsible for investor relations and business development in the Asia-Pacific region, with a particular focus on Korea and Singapore as well as investments in Korea. Prior to that, Ms. Kim worked at Squadron Capital (now Standard Life) where she was responsible for investments – primary and secondary private equity funds and co-investments in the Asia-Pacific region, as well as the development of client relationships in Korea. Ms. Kim previously spent seven years at GE Capital, working on the due diligence of non-performing loan transactions throughout Asia, before moving to Structured Finance Origination and Capital Markets, where she focused mainly on acquisition financing in Korea. She began her career at Siemens Korea as a sales analyst. Ms. Kim holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics, with a Minor in Business Administration from Sogang University in Seoul, South Korea.
