Biography
Mr. Simon X. Benito held various positions at Merck & Co Inc. From 1974 to 1999, including Senior Vice President, Vaccine Division from 1996 to 1999 and Vice President of Merck Human Health, Japan from 1986 to 1993. Mr. Benito served as Executive Vice President of Merck-Medco Managed Care from 1994 to 1996. Mr. Benito has been a Director of Inovio Pharmaceuticals, Inc. since December 18, 2003. He has been a Director of DURECT Corporation since April 18, 2005. He served as an Executive Director of Merck Human Health, Japan from 1986 to 1993.
