Biography
Dorothy G. (Dot) Williams has served as a board member for seven years. She became a part of the organizing board as an avenue of honoring her late husband, Charles S. Williams, who succumbed to glioblastoma cancer in 1999. There was very little organized support for cancer patients in the Rome area at that time
Research Interest
Dot has been involved in numerous service organizations in Rome including Rome Junior Service League, Garden club, National society of Colonial Dames, community soup kitchen and others. She is an active member of First Presbyterian Church. She has four children and ten grandchildren. Dot retired off the Cancer Navigator board in January 2015 but will remain a supporter and active with the events when possible. We greatly appreciate all of Dot’s unwavering support and dedication to our organization.
