Biography
Daniel Pinschewer is founder and Chief Scientific at Hookipa. He is responsible for envisioning and developing research capabilities. Daniel graduated from the University of Zurich Medical School in the year 2000. As a postdoc he trained in molecular virology with Juan Carlos de la Torre (The Scripps Research Institute, USA) and in immunology with Rolf Zinkernagel and Hans Hengartner (University of Zurich, Switzerland). He was appointed associate professor of immunology at the University of Geneva Medical School in 2007, and in 2013 was recruited to the University of Basel, where he serves as a full professor of virology.
