C. Templin Donald

Biography

Mr. Templin is president of Marathon Petroleum Corporation. He serves on the boards of directors of MPLX GP LLC and Calgon Carbon Corporation. Mr. Templin is also chairman of the downstream committee of the American Petroleum Institute (API).

Research Interest

Prior to joining Marathon Petroleum in 2011, Mr. Templin was the managing partner of the audit practice for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC) in Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee. While at PwC, he had more than 25 years of experience providing auditing and advisory services to a wide variety of private, public and multinational companies. Mr. Templin joined PwC in Pittsburgh in 1984. While at PwC, he went on to serve in London, Kazakhstan and Baltimore before assuming his position in Atlanta in 2009. He was appointed senior vice president and chief financial officer of Marathon Petroleum in 2011, and took on the incremental role of chief financial officer of MPLX GP LLC in 2012. Mr. Templin was named executive vice president, Supply, Transportation and Marketing of Marathon Petroleum in 2015. He was appointed executive vice president of Marathon Petroleum and president of MPLX GP LLC in 2016 and assumed his current position in 2017.
