Biography

Barbara A. Parker, MD, is a board-certified medical oncologist. She has extensive experience in the management of breast cancer and other common cancers. Her top priority is to provide excellent patient care consisting of access to new therapies.Dr. Parker serves as the medical director for Oncology Services at Moores Cancer Center at UC San Diego Health. She is a professor for the Department of Medicine at UC San Diego School of Medicine.    Barbara A. Parker, MD, is a board-certified medical oncologist. Research Interest

Her research interests include new therapies for the treatment of breast cancer, the impact of diet on breast cancer prognosis, and alterations in sleep and measures of quality of life that occur in breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.She completed her residency and fellowship training at UC San Diego School of Medicine. Dr. Parker earned her medical degree from Stanford University School of Medicine. She is board-certified in internal medicine and medical oncology.
