Biography
Jaap Verweij, MD, PhD, FASCO, is a medical oncologist and currently Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Erasmus University and Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors at Erasmus Medical Center. Dr. Verweij has been a faculty member of Erasmus University Medical Center since 1984. Since joining ASCO in 1986, Dr. Verweij has served as Associate Editor of the Journal of Clinical Oncology and a member of the Scientific Program Committee, Conquer Cancer Foundation Grants Selection Committee, Multidisciplinary Cancer Management Committee, and Cancer Education Committee.
Research Interest
He received his medical degree from the University of Utrecht, and completed his internship, residency, and fellowship at the Free University Hospital in Amsterdam.
