Board member since 9 May 2016 1950 No shares no options Hans N. J. Smits is a Dutch citizen. He holds a degree in civil engineering from the Technical University of Delft (1973) and an MBA from the Erasmus University Rotterdam (1975). From 1975 to 1992 he held various administrative and management positions associated to Dutch Ministries. In the period 1992-1998 Mr Smits was President/CEO of Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, and from 1998 to 2002 he was Vice Chairman and later Chairman of the Executive Board of Rabobank Nederland. He was President/CEO of Port of Rotterdam Authority from 2005 to 2014. Hans Smits is now President/CEO of Jansen de Jong Groep, a large Dutch construction company. He is Chairman of the Supervisory Board of KLM Nederland B.V. and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Erasmus University Rotterdam. In May, he will also join the Board of Air France-KLM Group.
