Biography
Mr. Daniel J. (Dan) Piette has served as Independent Vice Chairman of the Board of Petroleum Geo-Services ASA since 2016. He has been Independent Director of the Company since 2007. He also serves as Member of the Company's Audit Committee. He also serves as is Board Member of Headwave, Inc, and serves on the Board of Visitors for the University of Wisconsin – Madison School of Geological Engineering and of Bike Houston. Mr. Piette acts as an advisor to Blueware and Deep Imaging Technologies. Until January of 2013, Mr. Piette was the President, CEO, and Chairman of TerraSpark Geoscienses, Inc. He was also President, CEO and Board Member of Object Reservoir. Before that, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of OpenSpirit Corporation from 2003 to 2011. His other executive positions within the Oil and Gas industry include Business Unit Manager for Land Acquisition Systems Group at Input/Output, President and CEO of Bell Geospace, and Vice President and General Manager of the Asia Pacific region for Landmark Graphics. Mr. Piette holds a Bachelor of Science degree with honors in Mining Engineering from the University of Wisconsin in Madison (1980).
