Biography
Arild Thorsrud is a submariner gone ashore. He holds a Master of Science Degree in engineering from the Royal Norwegian Naval Academy. A wish for a change led to a job as a roughneck on a floating drilling rig and he has since then spent more than 30 years in the oil business, both in Norway and abroad. Including 4 years offshore drilling, Drilling Superintendent for Ross Drilling for 4 years, 10 years in Transocean in various engineering and Operation Manager positions, including drilling and coiled tubing operations. After a period of selfemployment, Thorsrud worked for ConocoPhillips in 10 years before joining Rocksource in February 2005.
