Biography
Rolf M. Monsen has been employed as CTO and International Exploration Manager with main responsibility for quality assurance in the subsurface disciplines and to manage the remaining international exploration ventures. Mr. Monsen joined Rocksource in 2006 after 21 years in Statoil ASA where his last position was G&G manager for the Kvitebjørn gas field. Mr. Monsen has worked as a G&G manager for several producing fields in Norway. He has also worked international exploration in the BP Statoil alliance, which resulted in several successful giant discoveries in the Caspian sea. He was also seconded to the Abgami field development project (Nigeria) led by Chevron in Houston. He is a graduate MSc. petroleum prospecting from NTNU, Trondheim Norway, 1985.
