Biography
David J. Hoopes, MD, is a board-certified radiation oncologist who uses carefully targeted radiation therapy to treat a wide variety of cancers. These include cancers of the head and neck, brain and nervous system, lungs, breast, skin, gastrointestinal tract and urogenital system. Dr. Hoopes is experienced in procedures such as stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT), intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT)/volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT), image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT) and stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS). Research Interest
When Dr. Hoopes is not caring for his patients, he and his wife, Megan, enjoy raising their four children. They love to spend time outdoors camping, hiking, cycling, and at the beach. In his earlier years, Dr. Hoopes also served two years as a missionary in the Canary Islands and speaks fluent Spanish. He always looks forward to meeting and providing care to Spanish-speaking patients and their families.
