Erin Roesch, MD, is a board-certified medical oncologist who specializes in treating breast cancer. She uses numerous forms of therapy such as chemotherapy, hormone therapy, biological therapy, and targeted therapy to offer the best possible treatment options for her patients. Dr. Roesch has a special interest in women’s health and her approach to care emphasizes building strong relationships with her patients. She also believes in providing care that embraces an understanding of diversity and cultural awareness. Research Interest

As a medical oncologist at an academic medical center, Dr. Roesch instructs medical students, residents and fellows at UC San Diego School of Medicine. She is passionate about teaching and mentoring, especially among underrepresented groups. Dr. Roesch also has a special interest in developing clinical trials that will help physicians to better understand health disparities and implement potential solutions. Some of her specific interests include integration of personalized medicine into prevention and screening strategies, development and application of novel agents, and endocrine therapies in hormone receptor positive breast cancer.
