Biography
His major clinical focus is on the management of people with gastrointestinal cancers. His research focuses primarily on interventions to improve psychosocial wellbeing, reduce patient unmet needs and improve post-treatment survivorship care. In addition he is co-investigator on several studies of novel therapeutics. He has been awarded over $12m in grant funding as a chief / principal investigator.
Research Interest
Associate Professor Michael Jefford is a Consultant Medical Oncologist, Director of the Australian Cancer Survivorship Centre, a Richard Pratt legacy (ACSC, also at Peter Mac) and is a Principal Fellow at the University of Melbourne.
