Biography
Johannes Hopfen is a senior member of The Abraaj Group’s Investor Engagement team specifically responsible for the firm’s engagement in Europe, based out of London. Prior to starting at The Abraaj Group, Mr. Hopfen was Senior Manager at EY (Ernst & Young), heading the Business Development for the Transaction Advisory Services Division in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, later being appointed Business Development leader for the EMEIA Region. Before that he was in EY’s Transaction Support team working on buy and sell side transactions for large and mid-cap Private Equity Players. His career began as a Consultant with EY in 2003 in their corporate restructuring department were Mr. Hopfen gained wide experience in the area of turnaround management and non-performing-loan transactions.
