Biography
Kwadwo Adjei-Barwuah joined The Abraaj Group in 2012 and is part of the Investment Team in Ghana and wider Francophone West Africa. Prior to joining Abraaj, Mr. Adjei-Barwuah worked as an Associate with Black Star Advisors, on Activity Venture Finance Company, a Ghanaian growth equity fund focused on SMEs in the agri-business, financial services and FMCG space. Prior to this, Mr. Adjei-Barwuah held the position of Assistant Manager in the Banking Supervision Department of the Bank of Ghana, where among other responsibilities, he led the design and roll-out of Ghana’s banking supervision software. Mr. Adjei-Barwuah holds an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley and a BA in Economics from McGill University. He is a member of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants.
