Biography
Mitali Atal directs The Abraaj Group’s strategic communications function. Ms. Atal oversees the firm’s media engagement, brand and content development activities across multiple channels, including press, digital and social media. Ms. Atal has over 14 years of corporate communications and public affairs experience in the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates. Ms. Atal started her career in London in 2001 with the Aga Khan Foundation focusing on external relations and resource mobilization. During her time with the Foundation, she worked closely with bilateral and multilateral donors, including the European Commission, Department for International Development (DFID) and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO). Ms. Atal earned a Masters in Development Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), the University of London, where she was a Chevening Scholar. She graduated with first class honors in Journalism from Delhi University.
