Biography
Vincent So is a senior member in the Investor Engagement team based in Hong Kong, heading the investor coverage and stakeholder engagement in the Greater China region. Mr. So has over 20 years of experience in the Asia Pacific finance industry, initially in investment banking and for the past 15 years in alternative investments. Prior to joining Abraaj, he spent several years leading the fundraising efforts of the alternative investment platforms at two Chinese conglomerates, Fosun Group and HNA Group, respectively. Previously, Mr. So spent nearly 10 years at Intermediate Capital Group (ICG), a leading global mezzanine capital manager, primarily responsible for the investment activities in the Asia Pacific region. He was also involved in the fundraising of ICG’s Asia Pacific funds. Before ICG, he was an investment banker with Barclays Capital and Prudential-Bache Securities covering M&A, corporate and project finance transactions Mr. So is an engineer by training and began his career as an engineer, first with The Hong Kong Electric Company and then the Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Company. He is a graduate of Imperial College London with a Bachelor’s honors degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Management. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst holder.
