"Diploma in Biology 1994 from the University of Hamburg, Germany. 1995-2000 PhD student at the Universities of Cologne and Kiel. 2000-2002 Postdoc at the University of Arizona, USA. 2002-2006 Research Assisant at the University of Kiel, Germany. Habilitation 2006. since November 2006 - Researcher/Professor at the Department of Biology, University of Tromsø, Norway. since November 2010 - Leader of the Molecular Environments Research Group at the Department for Arctic and Marine Biology, Tromsø, Norway. Awards and awards Prizes and Awards Research Award 2011 from the Mohn Foundation, Tromsø, for the project ""Plant cell wall degrading enzymes of parasitic plants as potential tools for biofuel production"" Energy-Award 2010 (Energipris 2010) rewarded by the Oil- and Energy-department in collaboration with FME-tankesmia Outstanding Young Investigators Award 2007 (YFF) from The Research Council of Norway for the project “The role of dually targeted transcription factors for the development of cells and organisms”"
