Born 1946. Cand. Philol 1975. Consultant at ISV 1974-77, fellow at ISV 1977-78, 1978 amanuensis, associate professor of 1984, professor of 2008. Office Manager at Humanist Data Center, Bergen 1986/87. Current position from 1978.
Research Interest
"* History of science linked to exploration of the Arctic and Antarctica in the 19th and 20th centuries. * Social history and economic history in the 1800s and 1900s, particularly linked to northern Norway and the northern regions. * Political history relates to labor movement and regional travel in northern Norway. * Minority and ethno history are particularly related to lexianism. "
