Council on cardiovascular diseases);1994-95 Post.doc., University of Tromsø;1996-2005 Associate professor of medicine, University of Tromsø (20-50% position);2006-2008 Professor I in Hematology, University of Tromsø (100% position);2007-2008 Vice Dean for Research, Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Tromsø;2008-2009 Visiting Professor, The Scripps Research Institute, La Jolla, CA, USA. Publications: 136 original full papers in peer-reviewed journals listed in PubMed and 16 review articles and book chapters. Contributed to more than 190 abstracts presented at and published in conjunction with scientific international meetings / conferences. Supervision of PhD students: Main supervisor for 10 completed PhD thesis. Present supervision of 7 PhD students as main supervisor."
