Biography
"Dr. polit. in sociology, UiT 1999, with the dissertation ""Between Hippocrates and Adam Smith."" On utilitarianism, health reforms and the medical culture "". Employed at the ISM since 1999. Research group leader for the research group Medical Humanities . Bistilling (20%) as research counselor at the Clinical Research Department, University Hospital Nord-Norge (since 2003). Former member of the Directorate of Health's Health Council for Social Inequality in Health (2005-2013). Has previously worked 6 years as a researcher / fellow at the Department of Sociology, UiT. Foreign stay: Guest researcher at the Health Services Management Center, University of Birmingham, UK (autumn 2000 and spring 2001), at the Czech Association for Health Services Research, Prague, The Czech Republic (Spring 2005) and University of York, UK (Spring 2012). Has previously been the research director for the Norwegian Research Council's Health and Care Care Program (2008 - 2011). Participates in current debates - about the development of Norwegian health care, especially the use of price patches on patients, lack of focus on distribution and quality, and the use of financial incentives, among other things in the documentary Helsefabrikken (see review in Journal of the Norwegian Medical Association) in Ekko at NRK2 31.3.2011 kl. 9.03 - 09.35, and at the debate meeting on 8 October 2013 - about mediation of character traits, including in the NRK Daily News, Saturday, February 11, 2012 - on medical controversial chronic disorders at the source April 2015; Today's Medicine February 2015 and the University of Liverpool Conference September 2017. - on research ethics in Morgenbladet August 2015"
