Biography
Aarati Mujumdar holds Ph.D. and M. Phil. degrees in English Language Teaching from M.S. University of Baroda, India. Both dissertations are psycholinguistic, exploring the cognitive processes of writing L2 compositions. Her total teaching experience spans 24 years. At MCBS since 2014, she is teaching Academic Writing and World Literature. For 23 years she taught English Language and Literature at the PG, Undergraduate and Foundation levels in the University department at Baroda. She has guided two students towards their Ph. D degrees. She has co-authored books on ‘Business Communication: Techniques and Methods’ and ‘English for Academic Purposes’ (series of four books on Foundation English) published by Orient BlackSwan. She researches extensively and has presented on international platforms. Her Research Papers are published in reputed journals. Her areas of professional interest are Classroom research, developing methodologies for teaching English and Critical Thinking.
