Nadiya Abubakar Al Saady

Biography

Nadiya Abubakar Al-Saady completed her PhD in 2002 from the University of Minnesota, USA, in: the area of plant genetics. Currently she is the Director of the Animal and Plant Genetic Resources Center of the Research Council of Oman. In 2010 she was seconded to the research Council as the Program director for the development of the national strategy for the Animal and Plant Genetic Resources center (APGRC), under the Research Council. In the development of the strategy she also worked with different organizations involved in biodiversity and genetic resources conservation, both locally and internationally.

Research Interest

Her main research interests are in the area of Plant nutrition, biodiversity, genetic resources conservation, molecular biology of plants and disease-causal agents of agricultural crops.
