Biography
Dr. Arockiasamy Soosaimanickam`s main expertise and research interests are in the field of Image Processing and Data Mining. He is currently working on Performance optimization of Image compression Algorithms and also the implementation of data mining algorithms in Business oriented applications. He has been working on the Research Projects approved by TRC of Oman and the University of Nizwa. He has published over 50 Research papers in a reputed Journals, International Conferences and National Conferences. He is a recognized `PhD supervisor` of reputed Universities in India. Dr.Arockiasamy joined the Faculty of University of Nizwa in 2007. Prior to his current position, he worked at a College affiliated to Bharathiar University since 1990. He was a Professor and Director of Computer Science and Applications department for 18 years. He was also the Chairman for a Computer Society of India (CSI), Coimbatore Chapter during the year 2006-07 and also a recipient of Chapter patron award during the year 2011. Dr. Arockiasamy obtained his Master’s degree from Bharathidasan University, MPhil and Doctorate from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, India.
