Biography
Dr. M. Bilal Abid graduated from the Aga Khan University School of Medicine Pakistan, completed USMLE examinations and internship from Penn State University Hershey Medical Center in Pennsylvania and then moved to Singapore to complete internal medicine residency at the National University of Singapore (NUS). He then worked in the division of hematology/oncology and stem cell transplantation at the National University Cancer Institute of Singapore (NCIS) and then at the University of Bristol Cancer Institute, Bristol NHS Foundation Trust UK. He is an avid clinical researcher and continues to publish research articles related to leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, transplantation and infectious diseases. Dr. Abid also serves on the editorial board of several international journals and mentors students and trainees interested in clinical and translational research. He is currently affiliated with the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) & Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In his spare time, Dr. Abid enjoys playing basketball and spending time with his daughter and wife, who is a pediatric orthodontist.
