Biography
Dr. Ashfaq Ahmed is an assistant professor at COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT) Wah campus, Pakistan. He completed his PhD from the department of electronics & telecommunication, Politecnico di Torino, Italy in year 2014. His area of research during PhD was to investigate and efficiently implementation of various tools of HEVC and H.264 video coding standards. He worked on various platforms, like FPGAs, ASICs etc. From March 2014, he is affiliated with CIIT Wah campus, Pakistan. His current area of research includes efficient hardware implementations of evolutionary algorithms, video and channel coding standards etc. He is also actively involved in applied optimization for wireless systems and smart systems. He is author and co-author of a number of peer reviewed journals and conference papers. He is also serving as a reviewer for various renowned journals and transactions.
