Biography
Dr. Iftikhar Ahmad is working as Assistant Professor at Department of Environmental Sciences, COMSATS, Vehari. He did his PhD in Soil Science with specialization in Soil Microbiology. Currently, Dr. Ahmad is a principal investigator of HEC funded project "Assessing immobilization of cadmium and lead in contaminated soil with compost and biogas residues". He is also working on bacterial functional diversity and their potential for remediation of metals and salt contaminated soils. Water treatment through biosorption using low cost adsorbent material is also his focus.
