Biography
I received the MS degree in Meteorology with specialization in Remote Sensing and GIS from Department of Meteorology, CIIT in 2010. Later I won the scholarship of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (HKPU) for PhD in Atmospheric Remote Sensing at the Department of Land Surveying and Geo-Informatics (LSGI), HKPU. I completed my PhD in 2014 and joined the Department of Meteorology, CIIT, Islamabad as a Tenure Track Assistant Professor. My PhD research was on Estimation of surface visibility at Hong Kong using satellite and ground based remote sensing. I have been a Visiting Research Scholar at the Department of Earth & Atmospheric Sciences, University of Nebraska (UNL), Lincoln, USA from 2012-2013. During my stay at UNL, I published research papers on remote sensing of atmospheric visibility with renowned scientists from NASA and Naval Research Laboratory (NRL), USA. I got a good experience in managing various scientific instruments, such as visibility meter, sun photometer (AERONET) and ground based LIDAR etc.
