Biography
Dr. Muhammad Latif is a lecturer in the Department of Meteorology, CIIT, Islamabad. He obtained his PhD in Meteorology from the same Institution. His research interests include the climate variability, monsoon dynamics and monsoon teleconnections. He has recently been selected as a recipient of a grant by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan to undertake PhD research work at Department of Meteorology, Stockholm University, Sweden. Dr. Latif visited the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign (UIUC), USA, as a research scholar during his MS dissertation. He has also obtained an operational training on the installation and configuration of advanced meteorological instruments from Vaisala, Helsinki, Finland. He has participated in various international trainings/workshops organized by International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), Italy.
