Dr. Muhammad Safdar

Biography

Dr. Muhammad Safdar joined the Department of Computer Science, COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT) Sahiwal, on Sep. 10, 2012. He received his PhD in Optical Engineering from the College of Optical Science and Engineering, Zhejiang University (ZJU), China. During his stay at ZJU, he was involved in research collaborations with Philips-Asia and Huawei-Shanghai, and was also awarded Color Management Research Fund 2016, as Principle Investigator, by the International Color Consortium (ICC), Virginia, USA. Previously, he received his M.Phil and M.Sc degrees from the Department of Electronics, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad. Before joining CIIT, he served as Research Analyst (R&D) at the Multicore Research Technologies, Lahore. He has published his research results in a number of peer reviewed international journals and gave oral presentations at prestigious international conferences held in China, Japan, Germany, Australia, UK, and USA. His research work relates with Computational Color Imaging, Adv. Color Science, and LED Illumination Engineering.
