Biography
Dr. Muhammad Umar has obtained his PhD from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA in 2017 and joined the Department of Meteorology, CIIT as Assistant Professor. His research interests include monitoring spatial and temporal variabilities in inland water quality using satellite and aerial remote sensing (hyperspectral, multispectral, Lidar) data, field observations, and GIS. He had also been involved in river flow and sediment transport modeling that have implications in channel and dam designs.
