Biography
Dr. Mumtaz did his doctorate in Econometrics from the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), Pakistan. He has the honor of completing first ever PhD thesis in Pakistan in the area of Theoretical Econometrics and scoring 100% marks in Subject (Econometrics) GRE held in 2011. His PhD thesis has been evaluated by two world class econometricians Dr. William H. Greene and Dr. George G. Judge and both accepted and highly acknowledged the work and awarded $400 ($200 each) for producing such an excellent piece of work. Dr. Mumtaz has an excellent reputation as a researcher. So far, he has developed Three New Tests in the area of Theoretical Econometrics, one of them has been published in 2010 and the rest are to be published in 2014. According to his PhD thesis supervisor, Professor Dr. Asad Zaman, Vice Chancellor, Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE), Islamabad: “Mr. Mumtaz Ahmed has recently completed his Ph.D. under my supervision.
