Biography
Dr Saleem Ahmed is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT), Islamabad since December 2011. He earned his PhD from State University of New York (SUNY), USA in 2011. He obtained his MSc and MPhil from Quaid-i-Azam University in the years 2000 and 2002, respectively. Before joining CIIT, he worked as adjunct instructor of Mathematics at SUNY, USA. He also worked as Teaching Assistant at the same university during his PhD studies. He has been awarded Melva-Behrns memorial scholarship award for his outstanding teaching during his stay at SUNY as instructor. He has over 10 years of teaching experience in USA and Pakistan in very diverse environments. He was listed in several ‘who is who among students in US universities’ during the years 2006 – 2010. His research interests are in Applied Mathematics and range from analysis of differential equations to mathematical modeling of the physical systems in the areas of fluid mechanics and mathematical control theory.
