Dr. Nasir Rana

Biography

Prof Rana is an accomplished academic and a strategic manager, and has handled success-critical assignments in both academia and industry. He has cutting edge academic and consultancy expertise and specializations in Sustainability, Program, Project, Operations, Logistics, Procurement and Supply Chain Management fields. He has a genuine cross-cultural outlook and depth gained from a truly international education and career in academia and industry spanning across four continents. Before joining FAST School of Management, Prof Rana was an associate professor of Operations, Supply Chain Management and Corporate Social Responsibility, and Chair of Department of Management at Al-Akhawayn University in Ifrane, Morocco. Prior to that, he managed regional operations for Corporate Social Responsibility function of an MNC in Western Canada region where along with advice on corporate governance improvements, brand development and stakeholders awareness, he provided strategic leadership and direction on CSR policy guidance, development and formulation of CSR strategic plan looking at the entire internal Supply Chain and service delivery operations in Hospitality and Health Care industry. Before this industry assignment, he held a number of academic and research positions and EPSRC Fellowships in prestigious British universities, and contract and visiting academic positions in UAE Universities. His applied and theoretical research proposals have won competitive funding from Research councils and industry organizations.
