Biography
Currently working as Professor of Surgery Incharge Laparoscopic Surgery. Assistant Dean Medical Education Chairperson Assessment Committee Facilitator of Supervisory Workshops at College of Physicians and Surgeons, Pakistan. Visiting Faculty at Khyber Medical University and University of Lahore (Facilitator in Program of Masters in Medical Education) Goal/Aim: Medical Education in Pakistan needs to be revolutionized to keep up with changing trends in Health Professions Educations globally. Pakistan is producing doctors at a rate of 12000-15000 doctors a year who serve both locally and internationally. At present most of these medical schools have a traditional curriculum. In the past 5 years more than 50 private medical schools have been created. My goal is to bring a change in the medical education system so that the medical schools of Pakistan produce a doctor who can fulfil the local needs and also compete at the international level according to the recent standards of health professions education.
