Biography
Dr. Muhammad Imran Rashid is currently working as Assistant Professor in the department of parasitology, University of Veterinary and animal sciences (UVAS), Lahore,Pakistan. He did DVM in 1997 from college of veterinary sciences, Lahore and M.Phil. Parasitology in 2005 from UVAS. He did Master 2 Professional (M2 Pro) in 2008 and Ph.D. degree in 2011 in the field of Parasitology from University of Tours (Université François Rabelais, Tours), France. He has re-joined his services in the Department of Parsitology, UVAS in December 2011. He is now actively involved in developing research activities to diagnose and control parasitic diseases in addition to academic activities. He has won a Rs10.925 million grant from Grand Challenges Canada in its phase 4 in 2013, for the Development of toxoplasma multi-protein sub-unit vaccine and their experiment trials in mouse model administered intra-nasally with triad of antigens formulated in nanoparticles, funded by the Government of Canada and which is dedicated to supporting Bold Ideas with Big Impact in global health.
