Biography
Talal K. Nasereddin was born November 1, 1949. He graduated with a Masters degree in Chemistry from the American University of Beirut in 1974. Talal is married with two children and currently lives in the city of Jerusalem, Palestine. Professional Career Talal started his career in 1974 when he invested in Birzeit Pharmaceuticals Company. He also lectured at Birzeit University. In 1984 Talal was assigned the Chief Executive Officer for Birzeit Pharmaceuticals Company, and in 1991 he was assigned Chairman of the Board. In 1992 Talal played a major role in expanding Birzeit Pharmaceuticals Company by merging with Palestine Medical Company, followed by another merger with Eastern Chemicals Company. In 2003, Talal started a professional shift through growing beyond Birzeit Pharmaceuticals Company by founding and chairing Petropal Mineral Oil Company. Then in 2005, Talal established Lotus Financial Investment Company, and partnered in establishing THE NATIONAL BANK (TNB), which he also chairs. Later in 2007, Talal invested in establishing Al-Takaful Insurance Company and was assigned as Chairman of the Board. He is a board member of the Palestine Telecommunication Co. (Paltel). Talal invested in establishing, Abraj Investment & Development Co. and was assigned as Chairman of the Board. Corporate & Social Activities As part of his active participation in the Palestinian private sector development and community, Talal participated in founding Palestine Trade Center (Paltrade). He also founded the Palestinian Federation of Industries (PFI), which he chaired until 2003. Talal was a board member at the Palestine Investment Fund (PIF) until 2006and a board member of the Palestine monitory authority. He also helped in the foundation of the Union of Palestinian Pharmaceutical Manufacturers (UPPM), which he chaired until 2008, and helped in the establishment of businessmen association in 1998. Mr. Talal is currently a board member in both the Palestinian American Chamber of Commerce – PACC. Palestine and the International Chamber of Commerce-ICC, Palestine.
