Biography
Tomasz is a graduate from the Faculty of Philosophy at the Jagiellonian University. Since 2008, he has worked in various positions at the Gas Transmission Operator GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. During his employment with the company, he was responsible for co-ordination of the LNG terminal construction and owner supervision of the Polskie LNG company, and then he managed the analysis department. He took an active part in the work on the strategy of GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. Recently, he served the function of a project manager for the construction of an underground gas warehouse in salt domes. As a result of this work, in November 2013, GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. was granted a concession by the Minister of Environmental Protection for geological exploration of rock salt deposits in the Damasławek salt dome in central Poland. In 2007-2008, he worked in Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo S.A. at the Diversification Projects Department, where, among other things, he was responsible for the LNG terminal and Baltic Pipe construction projects. Earlier, in 2005-2007, he was a deputy director of the Department of Diversification of Energy Media Supply at the Ministry of Economy. Among other things, he was responsible for development of governmental documents concerning the natural gas sector and oil industry (“Policy for the natural gas industry”, “Policy of the government of the Republic of Poland for the oil industry”). At the Ministry of Economy, he was also responsible for supervision of implementation of those documents by the companies from the sector. He was responsible on behalf of the Ministry of Economy for the development of the Operational Programme Infrastructure and Environment for 2007-2013 in the area of energy security. He co-operated with companies from the natural gas sector in the implementation of natural gas supply diversification projects. He was a member of Supervisory Boards of Nafta Polska S.A. (Vice Chairman) and Biuro Studiów i Projektów Gazownictwa Gazoprojekt SA.
