Marco A Cacciuttolo

Biography

 Marco A Cacciuttolo is a seasoned and experienced senior biotechnology executive and advisor. He has served as Chief Executive of Algenis SpA (Santiago, Chile), President and Chief Executive Officer of Tetragenetics Inc. (Cambridge, Massachusetts, U.S.A.), and President and CEO of Percivia LLC (Cambridge, MA). He gained his operational experience as Vice President of Technical Operations at Medarex, Inc., (Princeton, New Jersey). In that role, he was responsible for process development, analytical sciences, quality control, GMP manufacturing, validation, materials management, and the management of outsourcing activities. He was the head of cell culture manufacturing for MedImmune, Inc. (Frederick, Maryland). In this role, he was responsible for the manufacturing of Synagis�, the first approved monoclonal antibody against an infectious agent. Prior to this assignment, he was a process development engineer in Cell Culture Development at MedImmune, Inc. (Gaithersburg, Maryland). He received his Ph.D. in Biochemical Engineering from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and his B.S. in Biochemical Engineering from the Catholic University in Valparaiso, Chile. He has extensive experience in leading the development of biotechnology products from start-up stage to registration and commercial manufacturing, working with several technology platforms, and introducing innovative approaches to product development and business value creation. He has nurtured and fostered successful partnerships working with groups from different cultural backgrounds and locations around the world.
