Biography

  Richard M. De Jesus is an Assistant Professor in De La Salle University (Manila). He got recently promoted to Assistant Professor 2 and was a recipient of 2015 Bertrand Lai Academic Chair award for Structural Engineering. He was also a consistent recipient of Outstanding evaluation from students. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering in DLSU (Manila). He obtained his Bachelor and Master's Degree in Civil Engineering from University of the Philippines (Diliman). His research interests are: (1) Concrete behavior against attacks from external agents (e.g. Chloride Intrusion, Carbonation), (2) Development/Modification of Concrete & Technology, (3) Analysis of Movable Objects in a Structure, and (4) Probabilistic Seismic and Risk Assessment, He is currently involve in research about seismic risk assessment of hospitals in Metro Manila, and risk assessment of old churches in South Luzon.   Richard M.
