Jonathan Z. Beltran

Biography

Mr. Beltran finished his Masters and Undergraduate Degree in Political Science from the De La Salle University, Manila. His previous academic work focused on the relationship of the Philippines and the United States Military on the West Philippine Sea Dispute. Currently, he is working on projects analyzing the unique emergence of ‘Non Traditional’ Politicians in the 2016 Philippine elections. Prior to working as junior faculty, Mr. Beltran was an active student leader serving as the Country Executive Director of the Harvard Project for Asian & International Relations Asia Conference 2015 in Manila and he served as the Leader of the Winning Team of the inaugural Hult Prize Competition at DLSU. His research interests include Comparative and Electoral Politics in Southeast Asia, International Political Economy and Security Studies.
