Biography

  Richard Li is the current chairperson of the Industrial Engineering Department of DLSU-Manila. He served as department chair from 2007-2009 and again from 2012 until the present time. Concurrently, he is serving as the DLSU Solar Car Project Manager since 2012. Richard Li is an ASEAN Engineer and a Professional Industrial Engineer. He is also a member of the Operations Research Society of the Philippines (ORSP) since 1991 and was a board member of ORSP from 2002 to 2006. He is an Assistant Professor at DLSU-Manila. He specializes in the area of operations research involving decisions and optimization in inventory management, inventory cost control, material/process selection and distribution/logistics/warehousing in a product supply chain context. His specialization also includes performance measurement in service industries or service-intensive activities using variations of the SERVQUAL instrument and Data Envelopment Analysis. His employment experience includes five years in the manufacturing sector and 19 years in the area of teaching while serving as a consultant of several known companies in the Philippines. He obtained his Masters Degree from De La Salle University and is currently doing his dissertation proposal for his doctorate degree also from DLSU.
